Ed Sypniewski

Ed is a 23-year veteran of a suburban police agency. He is currently assigned as a Sergeant in the patrol division. He is one of the department’s firearms instructors. He is a certified instructor in various weapons platforms from St. Paul Police PDI, FBI Regional Firearms Instructor School, NRA, USCCA, Singleton International and Centrifuge Training. 

Ed has held assignments as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, School Resource Officer, and Detective. He also served as an operator on a muli-jurisdiclonal SWAT team where he had a role as the training officer and oversaw chemical munitions. He ended his SWAT career as team leader of the medic element.

Ed loves to instruct. In addition to being a firearms instructor, Ed currently holds instructor certifications in Chemical Munitions, Less Lethal Impact Munitions, OC (Pepper Spray), Flashbangs, Simunition and De-Escalation.

Ed likes to expand his knowledge and has trained with some of the best instructors around. In addition to the instructor level classes he has attended, he has taken classes from Viking Tactics, Vickers Tac?cal, Combat Speed LLC, Tactical Defense Institute and The Roger’s Shooting School.
